Chapter 8: An Escape?Chapter 8: An Escape?
The boats. I had to get to the boats.
I took off in the direction towards of one of the harbors. I needed to find a ship headed for the Mediterranean.
I zoom past numerous street vendors and pedestrians all going about living their lives.
I almost ran into several people with my quick dashing. Quickly apologizing, I keep running.
I was almost at the harbor, and I could see lots and lots of ships. This was a pretty big harbor, obviously. There must have been at least two hundred to five hundred larger vessels.
And surely, of these there had to be at least one heading to Spain.

Quickly, after the elevator doors shut, I remembered something, and quickly fumbled my bag of ammunition out from my backpack, shoving one of the five magazine of bullets into my gun, shoving that back into my pants, and the ammunition into my backpack.

By the time the elevator doors opened onto the top floor, I was shaking like no other.
I stepped out into the silent hallway. The walls all had a classy- looking tan coat of paint covering the entire wall, with the floor a royal blue.
There were doors every few feet, labeled anything from "Conference Room" to "Mr. Samero" to god knows what.

Autumn had always been Ren’s favourite time of the year. The trees would change from vibrant green to crisp yellows, oranges and browns that made everything look warm and welcoming. He sat on his throne, reading a copy of War and Peace. He flipped through
the pages with fingers covered in skin as thin as the paper in the book. He stopped
reading to start a coughing fit. The book slammed down as his body wracked with pain
and he pitched forward to a table. A silk napkin came to his mouth and black blood
covered it. He shakily reached for his catnip tea.

Drinking it, he slowly felt the quaking in his chest subside slowly. His
body, slick with sweat and aged twenty years older than he really was. The 26 year
old took a horehound candy and growled an epithet at the gods. They did this to him.

So? How has everyone done? Give it to me! What are your final word counts!!? Did you make where you were wanting to go? Did you have some serious setbacks? Did you characters right you tooth and nail every step of the way? I hope all of you wonderful writers at least made some type of headway with whatever story you were writing, even if it was just having one sentence! You wonder writers, I hope to see you again in the next Summer Camp! If you are interested, in June, give me a heads up if you would like to take a shot at doing weekly blogs during the next competition for the group! Congratulations everyone!!

Personal opinion only, but I can't help but wonder if there should be a separate gallery folder specifically for calendars.
Instead of trying to decide if they should go in the "art" folder or the "graphics" folder (I've seen them in both).

And maybe I'll get around to submitting some of my own work, from this or my other account.

Like some of the creature bios from this year's plot bunny.... Or, well, almost anything from my "notes and bios" folder.

That might be a good idea. We initially put calendars in the art or graphics folders because the group was smaller then and there weren't so many. Now the number has exploded.

I'll have to do a clean-up later. <3
